From June 15 to 20, SCDI took part in the REGENERATE Leadership & Learning Institute, organized by APCASO in Bangkok. The training gathered over 35 representatives from dynamic civil society and community organizations across the Asia-Pacific region.

Joining SCDI were representatives from the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA) and other Vietnamese organizations working in the fields of HIV, tuberculosis, malaria, and support for vulnerable communities.

As part of the program, participants came together to learn and discuss concepts related to sexual health, social inclusion, and how these issues impact health programs and projects targeting vulnerable or marginalized groups. The program also emphasized the importance of developing action plans, fostering transformative thinking, and encouraging practices that can lead to sustainable change within communities.

The insights shared and explored during the training not only enhanced participants' awareness but also offered fresh perspectives for designing and implementing more inclusive and equitable health programs. These efforts contribute to building a healthcare system that meets the needs of all groups, ensuring that no one is left behind.

SCDI extends heartfelt thanks to APCASO for organizing the program and to L'Initiative - Expertise France for their support in creating this meaningful space. This valuable opportunity allowed SCDI and other regional organizations to learn, strengthen capacities, and promote the effective integration of gender justice and sexual health issues into essential health programs.
